The International Teqball Federation (FITEQ) is delighted to announce details of the first two qualification events for the teqball competitions at the European Games 2023. Teqball is making its debut as a medal sport at Europe’s premier multisport event, which is set to take place in Kraków and the regions of Małopolska and Śląsk in Poland from 21 June to 2 July 2023. All five event categories will feature (men’s and women’s singles and doubles, and mixed doubles).

As published in FITEQ’s qualification system announcement in July, athletes will be able to win FITEQ World Ranking points at four European Teqball Tour events that will be held prior to 31 March 2023. Following the qualification period, the 15 countries with the most FITEQ World Ranking points across all event categories will be allocated four quota places (two women and two men). There will also be universality quota places and host country quota places.

First Qualification Event

The first qualification event will be the European Teqball Tour – Budapest. Europe’s best teqers will have the opportunity to boost their chances of European Games qualification in the Hungarian capital from 29 September - 2 October 2022.

Further event details can be found here.

Second Qualification Event

The second qualification event will be the European Teqball Tour – Nuremberg. The event will be held from 24 - 27 November 2022, in what will be the first ever major international teqball event in Germany.
