FITEQ celebrates International Day of Sport for Development and Peace

FITEQ takes part of the #WhiteCard poject of International Day of Sport for Development and Peace.

The International Day of Sport for Development and Peace (IDSDP) annually on 6 April, presents an opportunity to recognize the positive role sport and physical activity play in communities and in people’s lives across the globe. In 2023, FITEQ takes part of the movement.

FITEQ, the governing body of Teqball is happy to participate in changing our World for better present and future.

Sport has the power to change the world; it is a fundamental right and a powerful tool to strengthen social ties and promote sustainable development and peace, as well as solidarity and respect for all. With the Teqball Tour and other activities, our beloved sport is planned to reach every habitable continent in 2023.

The global theme for the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace 2023 is “Scoring for People and the Planet”. As in previous years, this overarching theme allows for IDSDP activities to broadly focus around the impact and influence of sport on sustainable development and peace.

Peace and Sport invited everybody to rally around the symbol of a #WhiteCard as a sign of your commitment to peace efforts worldwide. #WhiteCard allow people to demonstrate support for the peace through sport movement in your part of the world.

As a reference to the yellow and the red card in the sporting world, the #WhiteCard invites not to punish but to promote peace, especially on April 6, the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace.

The family of FITEQ created the #WhiteCard picture in Podgorica, at the last qualification stage of the European Games to be part of IDSDP’s movement.

“We, the FITEQ family are always very motivated in joining to such great movements like the WhiteCard project from Peace and Sport under the banner of IDSDP. We truly believe that through sports, we can better the world and help others.” – said Gergely Murányi, Head of Diplomatic Relations at FITEQ.
