The International Teqball Federation has announced that Madrid has been chosen as the latest venue for the third qualification tournament for entry to the European Games 2023.

The International Teqball Federation, (FITEQ) has announced that Madrid has been chosen as the latest venue for the European Teqball Tour and the third qualification tournament for entry to the European Games 2023.

The event will be held from 16 - 19 March 2023, at the Polideportivo Municipal Gallur in Madrid and will encompass all five categories: men’s and women’s singles, mixed doubles and men’s and women’s doubles.

Madrid will be followed closely by the fourth and final qualification event for the European Games, which is organised by the European Olympic Committee (EOC) and is Europe’s premier multi-sport event. The remaining competition will take place in Podgorica, Montenegro from 28 – 31 March.

The European Teqball Tour has been used for all four qualification events for the European Games within the last year with the first in Budapest in September and the second scheduled to be played in Skopje, Macedonia, between 26 and 29 January this year. Once all the events are completed, the results will determine the final ranking used to select the top nations for entry into the Games.

The European Games will be held in Kraków, Poland within the regions of Małopolska and Śląsk, from 21 June - 2 July 2023. Teqball will join multiple Olympic sports, as well as a number of non-Olympic sports, on the Games programme.

Registration is now open for Madrid and Podgorica, and details can be found here.
