USNTF and US Soccer Foundation partner to increase access to sports opportunities in America
The US National Teqball Federation (USNTF) and the US Soccer Foundation have announced a new, two-year partnership that aims to achieve their shared goal of improving children’s lives through playing sport.
The USNTF will donate 100 Teqball tables to the Foundation annually as part of the agreement to increase access to sports opportunities for children living in disadvantaged communities. Additionally, teqball’s US governing body will make a financial donation to the US Soccer Foundation to support the expansion of its established programmes to engage kids in sports and create safer places to play.
Ajay Nwosu, President of the US National Teqball Federation, shared his excitement about the joint venture, saying:
“On a global level, teqball’s values have always been rooted in service and uplifting communities through the joy of sport and that mission has been echoed in our strategy around the introduction and inclusion of teqball in cities and communities across the United States. Partnering with a standout organisation like the US Soccer Foundation will give us a great platform to execute our goal of leaving a positive legacy in communities across the country.”
By offering children the chance to play and embrace the sport of teqball, the USNTF is aiming to foster healthy lifestyles, personal growth and inclusion for all. Creating more opportunities for youth development is also critical for the sport’s continued growth in the US, both at the grassroots and professional level.
The USNTF will continue its series of Challenger Cups this weekend (20-21 March) with the Cincinnati Challenger Cup and the Cincinnati All Female Challenger Cup. The event details, as well as details from previous events across the US, can be found here.
