FITEQ and its NFs join forces for International Day of Forest 2024

By planting trees for a sustainable future, FITEQ and the 152 national federations take part in IDF 2024 with the campaign "Teqball Family Challenge: Planting Trees for a Better Future."

In a groundbreaking initiative, the International Teqball Federation (FITEQ) and its national federations are set to play a pivotal role in the International Day of Forest 2024 by actively participating in tree-planting activities. This environmentally conscious move showcases the commitment of the Teqball community to sustainability and underscores the importance of sports organizations in contributing to global ecological efforts.

The United Nations General Assembly proclaimed 21 March the International Day of Forests (IDF) in 2012. The Day celebrates and raises awareness of the importance of all types of forests.

As the governing body of Teqball, FITEQ has been at the forefront of promoting sustainability within the sports community. The international federation recognizes the responsibility it holds in fostering a sustainable future. By aligning itself with the International Day of Forest, FITEQ aims to raise awareness about environmental issues and inspire positive action within its vast network. The campaign is called "Teqball Family Challenge: Planting Trees for a Better Future." In social media, FITEQ encourages the participants to use #TeqballGoesGreen.

The national Teqball federations from around the globe are set to take part in the International Day of Forest celebrations by organizing tree-planting events in their respective countries. This collaborative effort highlights the global nature of the Teqball community and its collective commitment to making a tangible impact on environmental conservation.

In a statement released by FITEQ Secretary General, Mr. Laszlo Vajda, the organization expressed its enthusiasm for contributing to the International Day of Forest. Mr. Vajda emphasized the power of sports to unite people and drive positive change. "Teqball is not just a sport; it's a community, and we want that community to stand for something greater than the game itself. By actively participating in tree-planting initiatives, we hope to inspire our players, supporters, and partners to be champions for the environment. The tree-planting activities spearheaded by FITEQ and its national federations aim to make a substantial contribution to combating deforestation and climate change. Furthermore, these initiatives will serve as educational opportunities, with federations organizing workshops and events to raise awareness about the importance of forests in maintaining ecological balance." said the secretary general.

To amplify the impact of their environmental efforts, FITEQ is launching the "Teqball Family Challenge: Planting Trees for a Better Future." This initiative encourages Teqball enthusiasts worldwide to get involved by organizing local tree-planting events and sharing their contributions on social media using the hashtag #TeqballGoesGreen. FITEQ will recognize and celebrate the most impactful initiatives, fostering a sense of global solidarity among Teqball communities.

FITEQ's proactive involvement in the International Day of Forest 2024, alongside its national federations, marks a significant step towards a more sustainable future for sports. Organizing more and more events, it is important for FITEQ to help the Globe's green life by planting trees which ease the events' carbon emissions.
