PROSPECTUS

WTCH 2025 - Qualifier - Portugal - Round 1

 

Provisional schedule:

  • 13 September:
    • Men's doubles
    • Men's singles.
  • 14 September:
    • Mixed doubles
    • Women's singles
    • Women's doubles

Categories:

The qualification will be contested in the five official categories:

      •     Men’s Singles

      •     Women’s Singles

      •     Men’s Doubles

      •     Women’s Doubles

      •     Mixed Doubles

 

Each athlete may:

      •     Participate in a maximum of two categories per stage

      •     Qualify for a maximum of two categories in total

Participation Conditions:

      •     Only athletes with Portuguese nationality and points in the FITEQ World Rankings may participate.

      •     Registrations will be made exclusively through the official FITEC website, following the usual procedures in accordance with FITEQ rules and regulations.

Points and Classification

 

The two qualification stages will be considered equivalent to Tier 6 by FITEQ, and points will be awarded accordingly.

Qualification System

 

Points earned by athletes in the two stages will be tallied in a specific qualification ranking for the 2025 Teqball World Championship.

 

At the end of the two stages, the leaders of each of the five rankings will be invited by the Installing Committee of the Portuguese Teqball Federation to represent Portugal at the 2025 Teqball World Championship.

Tie-Break Criteria

In case of a points tie at the end of the two stages, the following tie-break criteria will be applied in order:

      1.    Head-to-head result, analyzing:

 • Difference between sets won and lost

 • If still tied, difference between points won and lost

      2.    Total difference of sets won and lost over the two stages

      3.    Total difference of points won and lost over the two stages

      4.    Points ratio (division between points won and points conceded)

      5.    Draw

 

Substitutions:

If a qualified athlete for one or more categories withdraws or is unable to participate, the Installing Committee reserves the right to appoint, in due time, a substitute of its choice regardless of that athlete’s ranking classification.
