Challenger Teqball League - Győr
NEW RULE PROPOSALS TO BE TESTED DURING THE EVENT
During the Challenger Teqball League - Győr event on 16-18 January 2026, selected amendments and clarifications to the Laws of the Game will be applied under competition conditions.
Implemented rule
1. Two-serve system
The two-serve system will be applied in place of the current four-serve rotation. This change will be fully implemented across all Teqball competitions.
Rules under testing
1. Smashes
Smashes will be permitted provided that the ball remains within the Field of Play, does not bounce outside the perimeter, and does not make contact with the perimeter barrier. Smashes resulting in the ball leaving the Field of Play will be deemed as out, and the point will be rewarded to the opponent. This rule is applied on a trial basis for evaluation.
2. Edgeball during play
If an edgeball occurs during the rally following a valid service, the point will be replayed and only one service attempt will remain, regardless of whether the initial service was a first or second serve. This remaining service may be executed using any permitted body part. This change is tested during the event and replaces the previous interpretation under which play restarted with a first service.
