MTA strengthens ties with FITEQ
Mr. Milorad Šutulović, President of the Montenegrin Teqball Association, visited the headquarters of the International Teqball Federation (FITEQ) on 3–4 July for high-level discussions focused on the development of Teqball in Montenegro, the Adriatic region, and globally.
Mr. Šutulović was received by Dr. Viktor Huszar, Chairman of FITEQ, and Mr. Laszlo Vajda, Secretary General of FITEQ. The meetings addressed key topics concerning the growth of Teqball in Montenegro and its neighbouring countries, as well as broader global initiatives aimed at advancing the sport.
A focal point of the discussions was the continued success of the Adriatic Teqball League (ATL), which Mr. Sutulović founded. The ATL, the first of its kind globally, has established a strong tradition and achieved remarkable success, becoming a model for regional Teqball leagues worldwide. After the successful first two seasons, the tournament opened its gates and is now open to every athlete from any country. By the 2026 season, organisers aim to expand into Albania and Greece, reinforcing the Adriatic Teqball League’s role as a catalyst for Teqball’s regional growth.
The visit reaffirmed the ongoing collaboration between the Montenegrin Teqball Association and FITEQ, with both parties committed to driving excellence, innovation, and the sport’s long-term development.
The ATL is one of the most precious events of global Teqball, a regional initiative which reaches well beyond the countries involved, inspiring the global Teqball community to create lasting and impactful value. FITEQ maintains its support for ATL and continues to cooperate with the Montenegrin Teqball Association in pursuing excellence and development,” said Dr. Viktor Huszar. “Teqball is the foundation of everything we do—it lies at the core of all our programs and projects across the organisations we lead. We see FITEQ as a true strategic partner, and it is always a pleasure and an honour to meet and exchange ideas with Dr. Huszar, Mr. Vajda, Ms. Reichard, and the entire FITEQ team. I’m deeply grateful for everything Teqball has given me—both personally and professionally—and I look forward to continuing this journey alongside the global Teqball community,” said Mr. Milorad Sutulović.
The visit underlined the shared vision of advancing Teqball’s global reach through regional initiatives like the ATL and strategic collaboration between national and international bodies.
