The International Teqball Federation (FITEQ) proudly welcomes another meaningful milestone in the global expansion of Teqball, as Embassy of Hungary in Kuala Lumpur officially donated a Teqball table to the prestigious Sunway University in Kuala Lumpur.

 

This initiative represents far more than the delivery of sports equipment — it is a powerful symbol of international cooperation, educational engagement, and the growing recognition of Teqball as a dynamic sport capable of connecting communities across cultures and continents. This is also a unique occasion, where the National Teqball Federation of Malaysia can expand its own national network and partnerships. 

 

By bringing Teqball into one of Malaysia’s leading higher education institutions, the project opens new opportunities for students to discover and engage with the sport, whether through recreational play, grassroots development, or future competitive pathways as well as potential curriculum options. Universities play a vital role in shaping sporting culture, and partnerships such as this provide an ideal foundation for Teqball’s long-term growth in the region.

 

For FITEQ, these initiatives  are of great importance in strengthening the sport’s global footprint and academic foundations. Across every region of the world, the introduction of Teqball tables into educational institutions, community spaces, and sporting environments continues to fuel participation, inspire new players, and build lasting local ecosystems around the sport.

 

 

The donation to Sunway University further reinforces the shared commitment to promoting innovation in sport, healthy lifestyles, and accessible sporting opportunities for younger generations — values that stand at the core of Teqball’s international vision. Particularly, as Malaysia will host the next edition of the South East Asian Games, where Teqball is set to be a programme sport, this donation is also a reinforcement of Teqball growth in the country and region.
