FITEQ Supports AIMS Strategic Vision Following Recent Council Meeting

As an active member of the Alliance of Independent Recognised Members of Sport (AIMS), the International Teqball Federation (FITEQ) fully supports the organisation’s strategic direction and remains strongly aligned with its core values of integrity, athlete protection, inclusion, transparency, and good governance.

FITEQ continues to stand alongside the Olympic Movement and the wider international sporting community in promoting initiatives that strengthen the long-term sustainability, credibility, and positive social impact of sport worldwide.

The Alliance of Independent Recognised Members of Sport (AIMS) recently held its Council Meeting to review key strategic priorities and discuss the organisation’s direction within an evolving international sports landscape.

FITEQ notes with utmost respect the strong spirit of unity, shared responsibility, and institutional focus of the meeting, reaffirming AIMS’ commitment to integrity, good governance, athlete protection, inclusion, and the core values of sport.

As dissemanted by AIMS to its members:

Among the central topics discussed was the upcoming launch of the AIMS Integrity Platform, confirmed as a major milestone for the organisation. Scheduled for official online launch at the end of May 2026, the platform is designed to provide member federations with practical tools and educational resources aimed at strengthening integrity, safeguarding, transparency, ethical governance, and athlete protection.

The Council also reviewed the finalisation of the agreement with the International Testing Agency (ITA), underlining the importance of continued cooperation in support of clean sport, education, and trust across the AIMS membership.

Further discussions focused on the broader international sports environment following the postponement of the 2026 SportAccord Convention. In this context, the Council highlighted the importance of AIMS continuing to strengthen its own structures, strategic partnerships, and long-term sustainability, while maintaining close cooperation with both the International Olympic Committee and SportAccord.

The meeting also addressed preparations for the IF Forum in Lausanne, developments relating to AIMS membership, the continued establishment of the AIMS office in Lausanne, and future strategies aimed at creating greater value and stronger services for member federations.

AIMS President Stephan Fox thanked Council Members for their active engagement and underlined the importance of continuing to build a strong and values-based future for sport.

“Sport today carries a responsibility far beyond competition alone. It must inspire hope, unite communities, build bridges between cultures, and protect the values that define humanity itself. Integrity, unity, education and athlete protection are not optional — they are the foundation of the future of sport.

AIMS will continue to stand proudly alongside the Olympic Movement, supporting our members and ensuring that sport remains a force for peace, inclusion, dignity and positive change for future generations.”

The meeting concluded with a clear reaffirmation of AIMS’ vision to continue strengthening an inclusive, united, and values-driven sporting community, fully aligned with the Olympic Movement and dedicated to serving athletes around the world.

FITEQ welcomes these continued efforts and remains committed to actively contributing to initiatives that promote integrity, athlete welfare, education, and sustainable development across the international sporting ecosystem.
