FITEQ Chairman explores strategic cooperation opportunities with Shandong University in China

The Chairman of the International Teqball Federation (FITEQ), Dr Viktor Huszár, continued his official visit in Shandong Province with a key meeting at one of the country’s leading sports academic institutions, Shandong Sports University. The visit marked an important step in strengthening the connection between sport, education, and innovation within the global development of Teqball.

During the official program, the FITEQ delegation was welcomed by senior representatives of the university, including Mao Lihong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Shandong Sports University; Zhang Jiangzhi; An Mumei; Lu Gongchen; and Zhao Jianmin.

Discussions covered a wide range of cooperation opportunities, with a particular focus on training and education pathways. The university’s extensive infrastructure and academic expertise provide an ideal environment for the development of high-level training programs, offering new possibilities for both athletes and coaches within the Teqball ecosystem.

A major pillar of the meeting was the emphasis on grassroots development, aiming to introduce Teqball to a broader student base and integrate the sport into university life. By leveraging the institution’s strong educational framework and sports facilities, Teqball can reach new generations, creating a sustainable pathway from beginner level to elite performance.

The delegation also highlighted the outstanding infrastructure and research capabilities of Shandong Sports University, which open the door to collaboration in research and development. This includes potential joint projects focusing on sports science, performance analysis, and equipment innovation—key areas that can further elevate Teqball on both a professional and academic level.

Another important topic was coach education, with plans to establish structured training and certification programs in cooperation with the university. These initiatives aim to ensure high-quality knowledge transfer and support the long-term growth of Teqball not only in China but across Asia.

This visit reinforces FITEQ’s commitment to building strong institutional partnerships that connect sport with education and innovation. The collaboration with Shandong Sports University represents a significant milestone in expanding Teqball’s global footprint while laying the foundations for sustainable development through academic excellence.
