The latest edition of the FITEQ World Ranking saw Dennis Correia reach a career-high doubles ranking of number 3, following a series of victories in US Challenger Cups. His most recent victory, with partner and new World Number 5 Luka Pilic, came in the San Diego Challenger Cup on 31 July where they beat World Number 10 Andres Berriel and his partner Roberto Rubiolo in the final.

Hungary’s Adam Blazsovics maintained top spot in the doubles, with his long-term teammate and fellow reigning doubles World Champion Csaba Banyik (Hungary) in second. Carolyn Greco (US) remains the highest ranked female player in the doubles ranking, with the World Number 11 continuing to perform at a high-level in doubles, as well as women’s doubles and mixed doubles competitions.

In the singles, there was little movement in the top 10, with Blazsovics again staying in 1st. The only change from last month’s World Ranking was Romania’s Szabolcs Ilyes overtaking Hungary’s Martin Cserekyle, who dropped from 7th to 8th. Rising Hungarian star Balazs Katz soared from World Number 27 to just outside the top 10 in 11th place.

In the mixed doubles, reigning World Champions from Brazil Natalia Guitler and Marcos Vieira regained the top spot, with Csaba Banyik and Zsanett Janicsek dropping to equal third. Czech Republic’s Lukas Flaks continued his rise, moving up from 7th to 5th, whilst Serbian duo Nikola Mitro and Maja Umicevic entered the top 10 in joint 6th. Singles World Number 2 and doubles World Number 7 Apor Gyorgydeak (Romania) was another newcomer to the mixed doubles top 10, catapulting from 35th to 8th.
