Over 400 teqball enthusiasts attended the Beijing Teqball Challenge in Juyongguan on 27 August

Over 400 teqball enthusiasts attended the Beijing Teqball Challenge in Juyongguan on 27 August, as FITEQ’s partnership with the Beijing Olympic Development Association (BODA) continues to drive growth in China.

After four qualifying rounds, 12 men’s singles, men’s doubles, and mixed doubles teams entered the final stages of the tournament at the foot of the iconic Great Wall.

Li Bowen was the men’s singles champion, Dong Gang and Xing Wei won the mixed doubles category, and Li Bowen and Han Yi took home gold in the men’s doubles.

FITEQ’s partnership with BODA dates back to September 2020, when teqball featured at the Beijing Olympic City Sports Culture Festival as part of the sport’s official launch in China. BODA is responsible for implementing Beijing 2008 Olympic Games legacy projects and also plays a key role in supporting emerging sports in the city.

FITEQ look forward to further cooperation with BODA, collaboratively developing teqball in Beijing and throughout China.
