International Teqball Federation (FITEQ) Chairman and Teqball Co-Founder, Viktor Huszár, delivered a teqball presentation to leading sports media representatives from around the world at the 83rd AIPS Congress in Budapest on 5 February.

Addressing the more than 250 participants in attendance, Chairman Huszár spoke of the simplicity, inclusivity and emotion of teqball, which has attracted followers from around the world and seen the sport grow rapidly in recent years. “Some ask us what is the marketing secret,” he said. “There is no secret. They love to play this game and love to see others playing the game. That can be the Brazilian national team or just with friends and family. It really matters that it is for everyone.”

Following the presentation, Chairman Huszár presented a gift to AIPS President Gianni Merlo and participants were invited to try teqball out for themselves and learn more about the development of the sport.

The AIPS Congress was organised in collaboration with the Hungarian Sports Journalists’ Association and saw the attendance of VIP guests such as FIFA President Gianni Infantino; IAAF President Sebastian Coe; Olympic gold medallist and sports caster from the USA,  Donna de Varona; and Hungarian NOC President Krisztian Kulcsar.
