Montreal, 4 February 2021 – Following the publication of the Court of Arbitration for Sport’s (CAS’s) 186-page full reasoned decision regarding its 17 December 2020 ruling in favor of WADA to declare the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA) non-compliant with the World Anti-Doping Code for a period of two years, WADA has developed a question and answer document to assist with stakeholder understanding of the matter.
 
This is in response to a number of queries received from Anti-Doping Organizations, athletes, members of the media and other stakeholders seeking clarity on some of the award’s finer points and their implications. The Q&A document is in addition to the Agency’s publication of a legal note on 14 January 2021, which outlines the background that led to the CAS proceedings, provides a summary of the parties’ key arguments, and summarizes the decision.

Montréal, le 4 février 2021 – Suite à la publication des 186 pages de la décision motivée du Tribunal arbitral du sport (TAS) concernant sa décision du 17 décembre 2020, en faveur de l'AMA, de déclarer l'Agence antidopage de Russie (RUSADA) non conforme au Code mondial antidopage pour une période de deux ans, l'AMA a développé un document questions-réponses pour aider les différentes parties prenantes à mieux comprendre la décision et ses conséquences.
 
Ce document (disponible seulement en anglais pour l’instant) répond à un certain nombre de questions posées par des organisations antidopage, des sportifs, des membres des médias et d'autres parties prenantes qui souhaitaient obtenir des clarifications sur certains points précis de la décision et leurs implications. Ce document questions-réponses vient s'ajouter à la publication par l'Agence d'une note juridique le 14 janvier 2021, qui décrit le contexte ayant conduit à la procédure devant le TAS, fournit un résumé des principaux arguments des parties et résume la décision.
