The World Champs took over the 3rd ATL event

Serbia proved to be a great host for Adriatic Teqball League.

The Serbian city of Zlatibor hosted the annual Adriatic Teqball League’s third tournament (held on 27 August, in the city’s centre by the lake), where 24 players and 12 teams competed for the title.

The best in Zlatibor were the home heroes, the TEQ Liman team (Serbia) and its representatives, three-time World Champions Bogdan Marojević and Nikola Mitro. In the finals, they beat Kurjaci (Montenegro), a team represented by Marko Žarković and Andrija Jovanović, with the result 12:6, 12:3.

"We are glad that we were a part of this story in Zlatibor, in a beautiful environment by the lake and to play the tournament in front of a large number of people. I think the spectators enjoyed the games, especially in the final couple of matches, and although the result may not reflect on that, it was a tough match, however, we deservedly won." - said Nikola Mitro after the triumph.

To develop Teqball in the region, the local organisers have purchased and placed TEQ tables in the city's sports centre.

On this occasion, a TEQ promotion was organized in the city centre. Other than Teqball Novi Beograd players, passers-by of all ages have played TEQ sports as well. Not to mention, former Montenegrin national team player, Dejan Damjanović played in an exhibition match before the finals.

And, as with other Adriatic Teqball League tournaments, the youngest visitors were included in the event through various games and activities.

Nikola Novaković, director of Tourism and Recreation Complex Zlatibor highlighted that the Teqball event was greatly enjoyed by locals and tourists. He added "We are happy to support events that promote healthy lifestyles and have a positive impact on our youngest. I am especially pleased that TRK Zlatibor, by purchasing a table, has provided people of all ages from Zlatibor, Čajetina, Užice and the Zlatibor region with the conditions to play Teqball, so that one day one of our children can be like the world champions from Novi Sad."

The Adriatic Teqball League continues its path in Zagreb with the 4th round.
