Inaugural European Youth Teqball Championships in 2025

CETEQ and FITEQ bring EYTCH to life in Pécs, Hungary as the first continental underage championships in Teqball's history.

The International Federation of Teqball (FITEQ), in collaboration with the recently established European Federation of Teqball (CETEQ), is proud to announce the very first European Youth Teqball Championships—a historic milestone in the development of the sport. The event will occur between the 18th and 19th of August 2025 at the Dezső Lauber Sports Centre in Pécs, Hungary as the sport's first continental youth championship.

This groundbreaking event is expected to bring together 40 to 50 promising young athletes aged 14 to 19 from 15 to 20 European nations, competing across five categories:

  • Men’s Singles
  • Women’s Singles
  • Men’s Doubles
  • Women’s Doubles
  • Mixed Doubles

“We are delighted to host the first-ever European Youth Teqball Championships in the history of the sport in Pécs, in the renovated Lauber Dezső Sports Hall. We are proud that the International and European Federation of Teqball (FITEQ & CETEQ) has chosen our city as the venue for this prestigious event. Pécs, with its rich cultural heritage, vibrant sports life and hospitable community, will be a worthy host of the event. Gábor Borsányi, one of the founders of the sport and president of FITEQ highlighted that in recent years, FITEQ has mobilized great energy into the development of Teqball youth worldwide. "As the cradle of the sport, it is not surprising that we will organize the first underage continental competition in Europe, and it is a special pleasure for me that one of the most beautiful cities in our country, Pécs, is hosting the European Youth Teqball Championships," emphasized the Hungarian sports leader.
