The Malaysia Teqball Association (MTA) attended a meeting with the Malaysian Ministry of Youth and Sports on 15 August in Kuala Lumpur to discuss teqball’s rapid growth throughout Asia and to strategically plan for upcoming opportunities at multi-sport events in Asia next year.

The MTA was represented by Yang Berhormat Dato' Norsabrina and Nasruddin Nazar, vice-presidents; Datuk Sham Shamrat , secretary general; and Aniko Farkas, the deputy ambassador from Hungary.

This year, the MTA has gained membership at the Paralympic council of Malaysia and is preparing for the sport to feature at the Southeast Asian Games and the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games as a demonstration sport in 2023.

FITEQ would like to thank Yang Berhormat Menteri, the Minister of Youth and Sports in Malaysia, for the support he has given the MTA, and is looking forward to the continued adoption of teqball in Malaysia and throughout Asia.
