Strategic discussions focus on Teqball development in Azerbaijan

Constructive discussions regarding the future development of Teqball in Azerbaijan took place during the European Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics, where representatives held a meeting with Azerbaijan’s Minister of Youth and Sports, Farid Gayibov.

The meeting focused on identifying potential pathways for the growth of Teqball in the country, while also exploring broader sports-related cooperation opportunities connected to education, event organization and long-term development strategies.

During the discussions, special attention was given to Azerbaijan’s strong potential as a country where several Teqball development projects could be successfully implemented in the coming years. Topics included possible educational programmes for coaches and referees, grassroots development opportunities, organizational cooperation and the possibility of hosting future Teqball events and activities.

The exchange also highlighted the importance of building sustainable sports structures capable of supporting young athletes and increasing participation in innovative and fast-growing sports disciplines. Azerbaijan’s active involvement in international sport and its experience in organizing major sporting events were identified as important strengths that could contribute to the further expansion of Teqball in the region.

The meeting took place alongside the European Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics, one of the continent’s major international sporting events, providing an excellent platform for dialogue between international sports stakeholders and decision-makers.

Teqball continues to experience significant global growth, with development projects, educational activities and competitions being implemented across an increasing number of countries worldwide. Strengthening cooperation with national sports institutions remains an important part of supporting the sport’s long-term international expansion.
