The FITEQ leadership warmly welcomed Mr Oybek Kasimov, Secretary General of the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and President of the Uzbekistan Teqball Federation to the FITEQ headquarters in Budapest on 18 June.

FITEQ President Gabor Borsányi and Chairman Viktor Huszar met with Mr Kasimov to discuss the promising development of Teqball throughout the country. Despite the challenges over the past year with the COVID-19 pandemic, the sport has continued to grow in Uzbekistan and around the world, and there are now 112 National Federations across all five continents.

From offering financial and infrastructural support, to leading training programmes for coaches and referees, FITEQ is working in collaboration with the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Uzbekistan Teqball Federation to inspire people across the country to lead a more active and healthier life through playing Teqball.

During the meeting a discussion was held on how to promote the Teqball movement amongst younger generations, and it was agreed that 112 tables will be distributed by FITEQ in schools in Uzbekistan.
