Brazilian ex-football player Marcos Tavares who spent 14 seasons with NK Maribor joined the Slovenian Teqball Association to promote the sport after his retirement.

The all-time top goal scorer of the Slovenian first league started to work to spread the word of Teqball in Slovenia where he debuted in 2008.

Tavares will play at demonstration games and present the sport to multiple clubs, especially academies during the 4-years mandate.

At the European Youth Olympic Festival in Maribor Teqball will have a competition in the city centre with doubles during the EYOF as well extraordinary light show and DJs.
