
CTL - Győr to Host the First Challenger Teqball League Event of 2026
The Challenger Teqball League (CTL) reaches a defining milestone as it enters the 2026 season, with the city of Győr (Hungary) set to welcome the tour’s first stop of the year. In just two seasons, the Challenger Teqball League has experienced rapid and dynamic growth, establishing itself as one of the most exciting and fast-developing elements of the international Teqball calendar.
A historic CTL debut for Győr
The Győr tournament carries special importance as the city will host a Challenger Teqball League event for the very first time. The interest is already outstanding: more than 90 athletes from 16 countries are set to compete, underlining the CTL’s rising global reach and competitive value.Players will battle across three main CTL categories: Mixed Doubles, Men’s Doubles and Men’s Singles
With an elite line-up expected — including multiple world champions as well as the strong presence of local favourites from Rába ETO Győr SE — everything is in place for a high-quality and memorable season opener in Győr.
Teqball Open running alongside the CTL event
In parallel with the Challenger competition, the weekend will also feature a Tier 5 Teqball Open in the Women’s Singles category, with 18 players set to take part — adding another competitive storyline to an already packed schedule.
Event schedule and venue
The tournament will take place at the Magvassy Mihály Sports Hall in Győr, beginning on Friday, 16 January with the group stage matches, and concluding on Sunday, 18 January with the finals.
