Successful Conclusion of the International Teqball Federation’s 2025 General Assembly

On 22 January 2026, The International Teqball Federation successfully held its 2025 General Assembly, marking another important milestone in the continued development and governance of the sport and the global Teqball Family.

The online meeting was conducted in a constructive and highly positive atmosphere, with strong participation and engagement from member federations worldwide. All agenda items and proposals presented during the General Assembly were successfully approved, reflecting broad consensus and confidence in the Federation’s strategic direction.

A key highlight of the Assembly was the presentation of the provisional 2026 event calendar, providing an early overview of the international competition schedule for the upcoming season. Receiving wide acclaim from the member federations, the Chairman announced the anticipated timeframe for the World Teqball Championships 2026, provisionally between 23–29 November subject to final confirmation. As part of the events report, FITEQ confirmed to the membership that Teqball will be a medal sport at the Asian Beach Games and, the flagship event of Asia, the Asian Games in September 2026. 

Important governance decisions were also taken during the Assembly by approving the various Annual Reports, the Financial Report and strategic overall objectives. 

Member federations voted overwhelmingly in favour to elect two new Executive Board Members, Ms Susan Soebakti, the Secretary General of the Indonesia Teqball Federation and Susanna Dakik, the Vise President of Zambia Teqball Federation further strengthening the Federation’s leadership, geographic reach with the inclusion of Asia and Africa as well as FITEQ’s operational framework.

 

Furthermore, the member federations received updates on the currently ongoing IOC-FITEQ consultation period aiming at the provisional affiliation of Teqball by the Olympic Movement.

Overall, the 2025 Virtual General Assembly reaffirmed the unity, stability, and forward-looking vision of the International Teqball Federation, laying strong foundations for continued growth, innovation, and global expansion in the years ahead.
