Türkiye Strengthens Cooperation with FITEQ Through Strategic Development Discussions

The International Teqball Federation (FITEQ) continues to strengthen its international relations and development efforts, this time through important meetings and activities held in Türkiye, focused on the long-term growth of Teqball in the country and the wider region.

During the visit, productive discussions took place with Osman Aşkın Bak, Minister of Youth and Sports of Türkiye, and Prof. Dr. Veli Ozan Çakır, President of the Türkiye National Olympic Committee.

The meetings focused on the continued promotion and development of Teqball in Türkiye, including future strategic cooperation opportunities, grassroots expansion, and the strengthening of the sport’s ecosystem within the country. Discussions also covered future education initiatives for coaches and referees, as well as athlete development programs and training camp opportunities aimed at supporting the sustainable growth of the sport.

Türkiye represents an important strategic partner for FITEQ, not only because of the country’s strong sporting culture and growing interest in Teqball, but also due to its role as the upcoming host of the European Games. The discussions highlighted the potential for Teqball to further increase its visibility and presence in the region in the coming years.

Dr. Viktor Huszár, Chairman of the International Teqball Federation, who represented FITEQ during the meetings, emphasised the strategic importance of the cooperation:

“Türkiye holds significant strategic importance for the future development of Teqball, both because of its strong sporting culture and its growing international role within the Olympic movement. Our discussions focused on long-term cooperation, education, and creating sustainable opportunities for athletes, coaches, and referees. As the future host of the European Games, Türkiye has the potential to become one of the key hubs for Teqball development in the region.”

FITEQ remains committed to working closely with national partners around the world to support the growth of Teqball through education, competition, institutional cooperation, and athlete development, with Türkiye continuing to play an increasingly important role in the sport’s future international expansion.
