Successful Test Event Held at the Beachfront Venue Ahead of the 2026 Asian Beach Games in Sanya

The International Teqball Federation (FITEQ) reports that a successful test event was held last week in Sanya, China, at the official beachfront venue prepared for the 2026 Asian Beach Games, where Teqball will be featured as a medal sport.

The purpose of the test competition was to evaluate the readiness of the venue, competition setup, and operational conditions ahead of the Games, which will take place between 22–30 April 2026. Several Asian national teams participated in the event, allowing organisers to simulate real competition scenarios and ensure that all technical and sporting requirements are fully met.

The Teqball court was built directly on the beachside competition area, creating a spectacular setting with the sea in the background. The full setup — including the competition tables, branding, seating areas, and broadcast positions — was installed, providing an impressive preview of what athletes and spectators can expect during the Games.

The test event confirmed that the venue is fully capable of hosting high-level international competition. The unique coastal location offers ideal conditions for a dynamic and entertaining tournament, perfectly fitting the atmosphere of the Asian Beach Games.

At the 2026 Asian Beach Games, Teqball competitions will be held in three categories: men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles, with teams from across Asia expected to compete for medals.

Following the successful test event, all conditions are in place for Teqball to deliver a spectacular show in Sanya, as the sport continues to strengthen its presence in major multi-sport events across the world.
