World Champions Continue Their Dominance in Ohrid as Adriatic Teqball League Delivers Another Spectacular Event

The Adriatic Teqball League returned to the stunning lakeside city of Ohrid for the third consecutive year, bringing together 40 athletes from 10 countries for another memorable weekend of high-level competition. Players battled for titles in the Men's Singles and Men's Doubles categories, with the event once again showcasing the growing strength and international appeal of Teqball in the Adriatic region.

Current Men's Doubles World Champions Nikola Mitro (SRB) and Bogdan Marojevic (SRB) continued their impressive dominance on the international circuit by securing the Men's Doubles title. In the final, the Serbian duo produced a commanding performance to defeat Gergo Dombai (HUN) and Gergo Varga (HUN) in straight sets, 2–0 (12–5, 12–5).

Mitro also added a second gold medal to his collection by triumphing in the Men's Singles competition. After progressing through a highly competitive draw, he faced his Teq Liman teammate Marojevic in the final. The match delivered one of the most exciting contests of the weekend, with Mitro eventually prevailing 2–1 (12–11, 9–12, 12–7) to secure the title.

Following his victory, Mitro praised both the organization and atmosphere of the tournament.

"We are happy to have continued our winning streak. The quality of play was good, the tournament was well organized, and there were many strong teams competing. Ohrid is one of the most beautiful locations on the circuit, so we are satisfied with what we achieved. I hope we can continue the streak in Zabljak and enjoy good weather and excellent playing conditions there as well."

One of the standout stories of the tournament came from Marko Zarkovic (MNE) of Teqball Club Buducnost. The Montenegrin player produced a series of impressive performances throughout the competition and reached the semifinals of the Men's Singles category, achieving one of the best results of his career on the Adriatic Teqball League circuit.

In the semifinal, Zarkovic pushed eventual champion Mitro to the limit in both sets before narrowly falling 2–0 (12–10, 12–9). Despite the defeat, his performance demonstrated that he is increasingly capable of challenging the world's elite players and will undoubtedly be a name to watch in future events.

The tournament offered a unique experience both for players and spectators. The opening phase of the competition was hosted at Grigor Prlicev Primary School, while the decisive matches were staged on the picturesque Ohrid lakeside promenade. Set against the backdrop of the world-famous Lake Ohrid, the finals created a spectacular atmosphere and attracted strong support from local fans and visitors alike.

As another successful chapter of the Adriatic Teqball League comes to an end, attention now turns to the next stop on the calendar. The circuit continues in Zabljak, Montenegro, where players will once again compete for valuable ranking points and titles in what promises to be another exciting weekend of top-level Teqball action
