FITEQ's calendar is set for Teqball's historic events in 2024

The Teqball, as project started its path exactly ten years ago and today FITEQ prepares for its 250th event.

After the busiest season in the history of FITEQ with almost 20 international events, the governing body of Teqball set the date for its 250th event, for a return after last year's success and to celebrate Teqball's anniversary.

In 2023, FITEQ organized its events on four different continents and held Teqball's very first World Teqball Championships outside Europe. After having gathered precious experiences from last year, FITEQ decided to have a different approach in 2024 with fewer tournaments worldwide but retaining all five categories (women’s & men’s singles, and women’s & men’s & mixed doubles) under a new name: Teqball World Series, with 30.000$ prize money for each event while the final days will be held in a legendary urban environment.

On the last weekend of May, the Teqball family returns to the Spanish capital, Madrid to have its 250th international event. This time, the iconic Plaza de Espana will host the final day right next to the Royal Palace. Teqball debuted in Spain last year as Madrid accommodated the penultimate European Teqball Tour which was a qualifier event for the European Games. In Madrid, the then-record was broken regarding the most athletes with 179 teqers from 31 countries while the Hungarians led by Csaba Banyik who won two trophies dominated.

At the beginning of July, Teqball comes home to Budapest to celebrate Teqball's 10th anniversary. As the last Hungarian Teqball rendezvous was held in Esztergom, FITEQ visits again the capital after a two-year break.

As the last stop of Teqball World Series, FITEQ returns to Qingdao from 19 to 21 of July to one of the world’s biggest festivals, The Qingdao Beer Festival which last year brought about winners from both Europe and Asia.

“The systematic work in Teqball's first decade led to successes we have achieved in 2023, especially with the very first World Teqball Championships outside Europe.” Says enthusiastically Gábor Felegyi, Events & Commercial Director of FITEQ. “We have now a momentum that must be used to reach the next level. Therefore, during the planning of the main events in 2024 we return to the cities where the Teqball Family had its most remarkable accomplishments. Besides these three wonderful destinations, we are working hard to announce many more soon." he adds.
