A plethora of European Teqball stars competed right under the Eiffel Tower in Paris at the forming CETEQ's (European Teqball Federation) event.

After the announcement of its establishment during the 3rd European Games in Krakow, the European Teqball Confederation announced its activities and started its work with the kick-off event held in Paris. The Paris Teqball Exhibition featured 12 pairs in mixed-doubles competition, some of which belong to Crème de la Crème of (not only) European Teqball.

Hungarian duo Gabriella Kota/Balazs Katz took the first place, the hosts represented by Amelie Julian/Hugo Rabeux took the second place and Ukrainian pair Anastasia Terekh/Dmytro Shevchuk completed the list of awardees by third place. In total, 13 countries participated in the shadow of the Eiffel tower.

“Just like we presented at the official announcement of CETEQ’s existence, the Confederation wants to actively help the development of Teqball on the old continent." said Jawad El Hajri, president of CETEQ.

"We are happy that our member countries and some of the top athletes understood our idea immediately and helped us to kickstart the long journey that is ahead of us with this wonderful exhibition of Teqball. The choice of the Eiffel Tower is not random as it is one of Europe's symbols. It was not a coincidence that we chose mixed doubles as the starting competition as CETEQ wants to be more than just a sports organization and the social program introduced at the event also suggests we want to make an impact on the social level. In the upcoming weeks and months, the confederation aims to continue to introduce new formats that will help the development of Teqball, not only on professional but also on amateur and youth levels. We are certain that we stand ahead of exciting times for Teqball in Europe,” highlighted El Hajri who is also the president of the French Teqball Federation.
