China and FITEQ Reinforce Cooperation on Teqball Development and Education
Laszlo Vajda FITEQ Secretary General had discussions at the Chinese Leisure Sports Administrative Centre, which is part of the General Administration of Sport of China (GASC), the Sports Ministry, together with the Chinese Olympic Committee.
The meetings were hosted by Mr SU Jie, Deputy Director General, and Mr He Yi, Deputy Director of Business Development. FITEQ has been a member of the Centre, which act as the national federation at present, until GASC opens the pathway for the establishment of the China National Teqball Federation.
Building on the multiple-year successful collaboration, the meetings highlighted a number of important sports development and promotional matters.
While FITEQ has been working with select clubs, sports entities and partners across China, the parties agreed to maintain a regular dialogue and exchange of information so the Centre can include organisational and budgetary aspects into its annual planning, particularly for international Teqball events in China.
The parties also agreed to continue and further improve the sports education aspect, with university partners, too, relating to coaching and referee training.
The regular exchange of information will also include relevant plans, event proposals and schedules in the country, where FITEQ collaborates with the various sports entities, municipalities and local communities across China.
Both parties declared that China offers a vast sporting market potential for Teqball, a sport that is rapidly developing, also manifesting in medal and placings at the 6thAsian Beach Games recently concluded in China. Along the same model, GASC and FITEQ will collaborate relating to the China Teqball Team for the upcoming Games on the continent, the Asian Gams and the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.
