Teqball Singapore Launches Revamped Youth Outreach Programme at ITE

The International Teqball Federation (FITEQ) is pleased to see the continued growth and development of Teqball in Singapore, as Teqball Singapore officially launched the renewed “Teqball Singapore 2.0” Outreach Programme with its first activation held at the Institute of Technical Education (ITE).

The initiative marks another important step in expanding the sport’s grassroots presence in the region, with a strong focus on engaging younger generations and introducing Teqball to new audiences through educational institutions and community outreach activities.

The objective of the programme was clear — to introduce students to Teqball, provide them with hands-on experience, and evaluate the level of interest and participation among youth athletes and sports enthusiasts.

Following a short introduction and coaching demonstration, students quickly embraced the sport with remarkable enthusiasm and energy. The activation showcased Teqball’s accessibility and entertainment value, as many participants were able to learn the basics rapidly while immediately enjoying the competitive and social aspects of the game.

The positive reception further highlighted the growing potential of Teqball within Singapore’s sporting landscape.

Singapore already achieved a historic milestone in 2023 when the nation secured its first-ever gold medal in Teqball during the Southeast Asian Games demonstration sports event — a moment that demonstrated the country’s potential within the sport and reinforced the opportunities for future development through structured grassroots initiatives and community engagement.

FITEQ welcomes these continued efforts from Teqball Singapore, which not only help introduce the sport to younger generations, but also contribute to building long-term participation pathways for the wider community and adult sporting scene in the years ahead.

Special recognition was also given to Honorary Secretary Samson Zee and Coach Dezlee for their leadership and commitment in spearheading upcoming outreach activities and development programmes as Teqball Singapore continues building the next chapter of the sport’s growth in the country.

With more activations and initiatives planned in the coming months, the future looks promising for Teqball in Singapore as the community continues expanding opportunities for participation, engagement, and development across all levels of the sport.
